Air Conditioning for Heating

Air conditioning heating works the same way as refrigerators do. An air conditioning heating unit uses chemical substances that can easily be converted from gas into liquid and vice versa. The chemical is used to transport heat from the air in the house to the air outside the home. Generally, the system comes with three basic parts namely, condenser, compressor and an evaporator.

The condenser and the compressor are normally situated on the external air portion of the air conditioning system. And the evaporator is situated indoor, sometimes; it can be part of the furnace. This is the part that heats up the house. Generally, the fluid gets to the compressor as a low pressure, cool gas and moves into the condenser. By the time the fluid departs from the condenser, the temperature of the fluid is cooler and by that time, it would have changed from gas into liquid under a very high temperature. This liquid moves to the evaporator via a thin and narrow hole.

When the liquid gets to the other side, the pressure usually drops and by this time, it starts evaporating into gas. What happens during this period is that the heat is extracted from the air surrounding it. The heat is very useful as it separates the molecules in the fluid from the liquid to gas. There is a fan that is connected to the evaporator which moves the air in the house across the fins of the evaporator.

Cool air is usually heavier than hot air and as such, the hot air rises on top of the room. The hot air then cools the gas that is in the evaporator and as the heat gets off the air the air becomes cool. The reversal is the case when there is need to heat up the room. The process goes on until the required temperature of the room is achieved. And by the time the temperature gets to the right degree (there is a thermostat that senses the degree of the temperature); the air conditioning turns off automatically.

Air conditioning heating comes with a valve that allows it to switch between heater and air conditioner. Whenever the valve gets switched off, the heat pump operates as an air conditioner and when it is switched on, it operates as a heater. The dual functions of the air conditioning heating make it ideal for use in every season all through the year. Very useful – an all in one unit to heat in the winter and cool in the summer, saving you money and acting more efficiently as far as the environment is concerned.
