Fujitsu Indoor Units Installation Linked To Outdoor Condenser Units In Endfield, London

Winding down for Christmas?……not yet!

Not until we’ve installed these 9 Fujitsu indoor units linked to 5 outdoor condenser units that will provide the main source of heating and comfort cooling to this office in Enfield.

The project for this office in Enfield began with our usual site survey and project meetings with the client. We documented the existing office and then performed our calculations and drew up the plans required to ensure the most efficient air conditioning system at the best value for the client. Our primary survey looked at the existing building conditions but we also need to know how many people will be seated in the space, the size of the space and the number of windows. All of this information feeds into our final calculations. This project utilised Fujitsu products and involved 9 indoor units connected to 5 outdoor condenser units.

There are several ratings we need to use in the design process. The first is British Thermal Unit Rating (BTU).This rating represents the heat the air conditioning unit can remove from internal space. Higher ratings mean more heat is removed, so defining the correct size is essential for our project. Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) is another rating we use. This one tells us how much energy is needed for the air conditioning device to operate efficiently. Higher EER ratings use less energy but are more expensive to purchase but usually result in cheaper energy bills over a five year period.

Temperature control is useful in office applications. Controls can be manual or programmable and some can be operated by a remote control. It can be useful for building maintenance staff to be able to override the temperature in times of extreme heat or cold. Heat pump technology brings further efficiency to winter heating.

This air conditioning system is typical of most forward thinking offices these days as staff really appreciate a comfortable working environment avoiding some of the usual non-air conditioned office hazards such as wind and fans blowing paperwork around and computers switching off when the heat gets too much. This project utilised Fujitsu products and involved 9 indoor units connected to 5 outdoor condenser units.

Air Conditioning Services London

Simply Air Conditioning London has been installing, servicing, and repairing air conditioning systems across London and the South East for over 15 years. All engineers are F-Gas certified.

Quote from one of our happy air deflector free trial recipients:

“Our open plan office houses around 100 people. Air distribution and draft was an issue for some of them prior to fitting air deflectors. Since the fitting we’ve not had a single complaint!”

How we got here

Air conditioning is known to have been applied in Ancient Rome: aqueduct water was passed through walls of houses to cool them. In medieval Persia similar techniques involving the use of cisterns and wind towers were used in the hot season to cool buildings.

Modern air conditioning emerged after advances in 19th Century chemistry, and it was Willis Haviland Carrier who invented and first used a large-scale electrical air conditioning system in 1902.

Air Conditioner Definition

An appliance, unit, system, or machine designed to stabilise the temperature and humidity of air within an area (used for both heating as well as cooling). A refrigeration cycle is the most common method of achieving this although sometimes evaporative coolers are used for comfort cooling inside buildings and vehicles.
